Public comments welcome on permit application from AGP facility at Port of Grays Harbor

ORCAA has issued a preliminary determination for a permit application submitted by Ag Processing, Inc. (AGP). The company seeks to establish a transload facility and associated equipment at E Terminal Way, Terminal 4 at the Port of Grays Harbor, Aberdeen, Washington. The transload facility will consist of a rail receiving building and receiving pits, a bulk commodity scale and conveyors, and a ship loader.

ORCAA staff reviewed AGP’s application and concluded that the proposal will not jeopardize ambient air quality and meets criteria for approving new air pollution sources in Washington. Based on these conclusions, ORCAA’s preliminary determination is to conditionally approve AGP’s air permit application. Recommended conditions of approval are detailed in ORCAA’s Preliminary Determination. This determination is open for public comment through 4:30 p.m. on May 23, 2024. Additionally, ORCAA will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday May 21, 2024, to gather testimony regarding air quality issues associated with AGP’s proposal. The hearing will be conducted at the Port of Grays Harbor Commissioners Room 111 S Wooding St, Aberdeen, WA 98520.
