For Business

Clean Air is Everyone’s Business

Businesses, industries, institutions, public utilities, and municipalities that cause, or have the potential to cause, air pollution are regulated as “sources” of air pollution. Equipment and operations that cause air pollution are subject to air regulations and standards under Washington State’s Clean Air Act, which applies state-wide (Chapter 70A.15 RCW). Air pollution sources may require registration and approval by their local air agency prior to being established, constructed, or modified.
