Notice of Public Hearing:  Ag Processing, Inc. (AGP) permit

The Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) firmly believes in its motto,  “Clean Air is Everyone’s Business.” As such, ORCAA seeks to keep everyone within our jurisdiction well informed about the actions—and proposed actions—we take. The ORCAA Board of Directors has opened a Public Comment period on the following topic, to be concluded with a Public Hearing.

Description:

Ag Processing, Inc. (AGP) seeks approval from Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) to establish a transload facility and associated equipment at E Terminal Way, Terminal 4 at the Port of Grays Harbor, Aberdeen, Washington. The transload facility will consist of a rail receiving building and receiving pits, a bulk commodity scale and conveyors, and a ship loader.

PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATION: ORCAA staff reviewed AGP’s application and concluded that the proposal will not jeopardize ambient air quality and meets criteria for approving new air pollution sources in Washington. Based on these conclusions, ORCAA’s preliminary determination is to conditionally approve AGP’s air permit application. Recommended conditions of approval are detailed in ORCAA’s Preliminary Determination (see availability details below).

DOCUMENT AVAILABILITY: Copies of ORCAA’s Preliminary Determination, AGP’s NOC application and other related documents are on file and available for review at the Aberdeen Timberland Library, 121 E Market St, Aberdeen, WA 98520, and at ORCAA’s Olympia office. The documents are also available below. For additional assistance, please call ORCAA’s office at: (360) 539-7610.
