Department of Ecology wants to hear from you about air quality in your community

Despite great advances since the passage of the state Clean Air Act more than 55 years ago, air pollution continues to be a real concern for many communities in Washington.

In order to help ensure that air pollution concerns are addressed, the Washington Department of Ecology’s Air Quality program seeks input from residents on the issues of air pollution and its impacts on their communities.

The Ecology team has established an online survey to gather data to help them in this work. The survey results will help guide Ecology in future developments of the state’s air monitoring network. Since ORCAA maintains the air monitoring stations within the six-counties of the Olympic Peninsula (Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston), this survey is important to our local communities as well as to the state-wide interests. Please take a moment to complete the online survey (details below).

Ecology shares links to Air Quality Survey

If you are affected by air pollution, we would like to invite you to participate in this anonymous Air Quality Survey and share it in your community. The feedback we receive will support our new initiative to improve air quality in overburdened communities across Washington. We’ll use it to help inform where we expand the state air monitoring network.

Community voices mater in this work. The survey will take about three minutes to complete. All responses will remain confidential and only be used in Ecology’s work to improve air quality.

We would appreciate your support in taking these steps:

1. Take our air quality survey.

2. Share the survey with your family, friends, colleagues, and other community leaders and organizations.

Thank you! Your participation will make a valuable contribution to our statewide environmental justice initiative.
