Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) invites the public to submit written comments on draft revisions to the Air Operating Permit (AOP) and associated Technical Support Document (TSD) for the McKinley Paper Company – Washington Mill (McKinley) located at 1815 Marine Drive, Port Angeles, Washington.
Project Summary
McKinley’s AOP and TSD are being revised to correct factual errors, clarify record-keeping and reporting requirements, and change the required means for monitoring sulfur dioxide emissions. Revisions are annotated: Strike-outs identifying deleted language and underlined text identifying added language. Only revised language of the AOP and TSD are open for public comment.
The draft revisions to McKinley’s AOP and TSD are available for review and comment from January 6, 2022, through 5 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022.

Comments should relate to the adequacy of the draft AOP and TSD in assuring compliance with applicable air quality regulations and standards. Anyone concerned may request a public hearing during the public comment period. The request should include information justifying the need for a public hearing. If the public raises significant interest, ORCAA will hold and provide advanced notice of a public hearing.
All comments are due by 5 p.m., February 7, 2022.
