Description:
Kloeckner Metals Corporation (Kloeckner) seeks pre-approval from Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) to replace the existing ESAB Avenger metal cutting table with a new Alltra HG16-12S metal cutting table at their facility located at 3215 Cougar Ln SW, Tumwater, Washington. Regulated air pollutants impacted by the project include HAP, TAP, Nitrogen Dioxide, Particulate Matter, PM10, and PM2.5. Since the new cutting table will cut the same materials and use the same fuels as the cutting table it will replace, the project will not result in an increase in potential to emit.

What are Notice of Construction Permits?
Notice of Construction (NOC) permits are required prior to the construction, installation, replacement, or modification of any air pollutant sources, emissions units, or air pollution control equipment. Once approved and issued by ORCAA, the NOC allows not only the ‘construction’ but also the ongoing operation of that source or emissions unit. The NOC is in force until the source or emissions unit is modified or replaced, at which time a new NOC permit is required. Learn more about the NOC program.
