The Washington State Legislature enacted laws that restrict both residential yard-waste burning and land clearing burning. Since 2007, residential outdoor burning has been prohibited in all Urban Growth Areas (UGA's) within the state. Previously enacted outdoor burning bans also exist for many cities.
Cities and/or UGA's in which outdoor burning is currently prohibited:
1Piles larger than 4'x4'x3' are banned within the City of Cosmopolis
2Recreational fires using firewood are banned within these cities
