No Burn Areas
The Washington State Legislature enacted laws that restrict both residential yard-waste burning and land-clearing burning. Residential outdoor burning will be prohibited in all Urban Growth Areas (UGAs) within the state as of January 1, 2007. Additionally, previously enacted outdoor burning bans exist for many cities. Areas where outdoor buring is permenantly prohibited include:
Cities in which outdoor burning is currently prohibited
- Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater in Thurston County
- Port Townsend in Jefferson County
- Port Angeles in Clallam County
- Shelton in Mason County
- Cosmopolis, Aberdeen and a portion of Hoquiam in Grays Harbor County
- Irondale and Port Hadlock in Jefferson County

- Mason County: Allyn, Belfair

- Thurston County: Bucoda, Grand Mound, Rainier, Tenino, Yelm
- Jefferson County: Irondale and Port Hadlock
